Herb and Alice Tonry moved with their 6 children to Hampton Falls in 1964. They started planting Christmas Trees as a 4-H project. As the years went by and the kids left home Herb & Alice took over all the day to day operations only relying on the kids for selling help. Herb died in 1990 and Abby took over the operation from her father and along with Alice has run the farm since then.

Today the family selling help consists of Alice, Abby & her husband Bob, Louie, his wife Lianne and son Michael, cousin Landis, daughter-in-law Kate and her two girls Jessie and Alice. You all know Jessie, she is the "old" snack shop girl, now passing the reins to Alice, no pun intended since they support their horses on the money they make selling you snacks.(Sorry snack shop is only open on weekends).

In July 2007, Alice Tonry put her land in a Conservation Easement, meaning it will never be developed and will stay a farm forever. Thank you, Alice, for your forward thinking!
